Dr. Meggy is from the SE Minnesota area, growing up in Spring Valley, she participated in martial arts for over a decade and ran track and cross country in high school. Her senior year she injured her lower back and ended up having back surgery shortly before graduation.
Back pain was pretty normal for a while and after finding relief from consistent chiropractic care she decided to take the leap and went to school at the age of 27 to become a chiropractor. She attended Life University in Georgia, and has taken additional courses for prenatal and pediatric care. Recently she has taken courses for craniosacral myofascial therapy and she has her 200 hour yoga teacher training.
In her chiropractic approach, Dr. Meggy likes to focus on soft tissue areas of the body that hold tension, whether from physical or emotional stress. She believes working with the body’s fascial and muscular system is important to allow increased relaxation to the nervous and skeletal systems.
Dr. Meggy enjoys being outside, especially on the water or in her garden. She loves to be moving and active, and with a husband, 2 kids and a dog, there is always a lot of activity going on. Dr. Meggy believes movement is life and important for health. She wants to help people reduce pain and increase mobility in order to enjoy their life on the move doing what they love.
